Now that I've visited the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden four springs in a row, I've officially created a yearly tradition. The garden is tucked beside a golf course and nestled across from Reed's campus. On a rainy day or in a different season, it's probably a pleasant place to experience nature, but perhaps nothing spectacular in a city of lush gardens and flowers. But on a sunny spring day, like the days I've visited each year, the garden is awash in color, and a 30 minute stroll is all you need to feel inspired and peaceful. (Just watch out for goose poop!)
